FREE Eye Tests

Description & Process

You may be entitled to a FREE eye test and you could also be entitled to a voucher towards the cost of your glasses if you meet certain criteria listed below. Please contact us if you think that you qualify.

• Under the age of 16
• Between ages 16-18 and in full time education
• Aged 60 and over*
• Receive income support
• Receive universal credit
• Income based job seekers allowance
• Income related employment and support allowance
• Tax credit or named on a valid tax credit exemption certificate (or if you are named on a valid HC2 certificate)
• Registered bind/partially sighted with local authority*
• Suffer from diabetes or glaucoma*
• Are 40 or over and parent/sibling/child of a person who has glaucoma*
• Considered a risk of glaucoma by an ophthalmologist*
• Have been prescribed complex lenses under the NHS optical voucher scheme*
